Sir? I'd like you to take the helm, please. I need this man to tear all my clothes off.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Speaking of babies, has anyone seen the baby name wizard? [link] It shows how popular names have been over the past 100 years. Kind of addictive.

Now tagless for your comfort.

meaning at the ATM or in person at the bank, anything over 6 transactions gets charged.

Bleh. Also, is that per MONTH? or some vague timeframe? Because at least if the month turns over tomorrow I can make more transfers without the extra $5 added (and I really need that extra $5 until the 8th).

OFAC and the USA PATRIOT Act also have a provision that banks must check out any suspicious activity, and excessive transferring between accounts is one of the big red flags.

Oh, yeah, I'm sending my $11.07 to the terrorists. *sigh*

Lovely day indicates a trip to the park today. No matter how dumpy I look in shorts.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Bleh. Also, is that per MONTH? or some vague timeframe?

Cashmere, is that a money market account? Those are limited to 6 transactions per month/statement cycle, of which no more than 3 can be checks (in-person and ATM transactions don't count toward the 6). The bank has to take steps to make sure there aren't more than 6 transactions per month, usually by sending you a nastygram or not completing transactions if you go over the limit. And if you repeatedly go over the limit, the bank has to convert the account to a transaction account (i.e., checking account).

It's a complicated mess that is related to reserves that commercial banks have to hold against their deposits -- but I won't bore you with further discussion of that.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

I need to try to not be irritated with my best friend. Three times this weekend we made plans. The first time we were going to grab a beer when he got out of work (his idea). When I called, he said "Sure, just let me call (girlfriend)." When he called back, he said he'd take a raincheck. Second night, I decided not to wait for them and went out with my roomie instead, which was fortunate, as they never called. Sunday night, they said to meet them at the bar for the Sox game. After things died down with my family, I thought a beer sounded not bad, so I said ok. When I got there, they weren't there. I called and he said they'd changed their minds.

I'm used to not seeing much of him since he moved in with the girlfriend, so I wouldn't have minded had he not been the one calling ME to see if I wanted to come out. I'm being childish but I don't care. Now he wants to make plans for next weekend and I don't even feel like it.

Wow, Lilybean is going to have some classmates in common. That name has spiked off the charts. "Emmett" as a name was completely dead until it resurged in the last decade.

Coding and Sleeping

I noticed "Leif" had a brief surge (if you call about 40 in every million a surge) in the late 70s and 80s and is now gone.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's irritating, Lilty. I'd be tempted to blow him off, or make snide comments along the "are these for real plans or are you just practicing?" lines.

Now I don't feel quite so silly for having all my money in a checking acount. Or two checking accounts. But no money market involved.
