[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I just got back home from driving two hours to a place where a guy had a van that looked promising as a way to get Andi moved here.

We've been trying to find the money and alternate ways of moving her here, and the van would have been the thing, even if it meant I had to drive it down to Arizona.

I got to where the van was and the van sucked. Rusted out and underpowered, no way it would make it there. Cracked windshield, bad exhaust. Just bad.

So I went to make the drive home 120 miles.

And the transmission on my car went out.

So a few hours later, I'm home. Not only that, but since it was over the 100 mile AAA tow limit, I had to pay an extra $70.

What makes it worse, is that i just repaired the exhaust on my car on saturday. Had the manifold pulled and worked on and new pipe for the y-pipe to the muffler.

Add on top of that the fact that my credit card company decided that my single maxed out card (from being unemployed) was not getting enough respect and upped my card rate to 20%, even though I've never missed a minimum payment when unemployed. They also won't help me out by reducing the rate for paying off for hardship because I don't make enough money for that. Go figure.

The same reasoning is happening at my bank, where I can't get a home equity loan, because my payments would be more than they think I should be able to pay. So far, my brothers haven't offered to assist me financially. even a small loan would have been appreciated.

I'm trying to be a responsible human being, I pay my debts, I don't miss payments, and I don't squander money foolishly.

And above all Don't want to suck Andi in to my financial problems.

I was hoping to have all my finances squared away and reasonable before she gets here. now I'm not sure how I'm going to afford to get here here, much less as soon as our hearts want it.

Sigh. Now I have to check out transmissions to replace mine. Oh joy.

I'm sorry Daniel. Talk about being nibbled to death by ducks, albeit large and ferocious ducks.

Aww, I missed the fun injury conversation.

I forgot to mention eariler today, during the injury conversation that my stupidest self-injury was when I sliced through the tip of my forefinger with a butter knife which I was using at the time to cut a stick of butter. Nice and deep, too.

I think the shipping costs might be a little high, Rachel

I'm willing to sell the baby to cover it. Might throw in the husband also.

I may be back to bitch later, but right now I'm off to do a big store run for this dinner party on Thursday, which means I have to take the car. Which I hate doing, because I've been hit 6 times since moving here.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Stupidest injury: slicing my thumb down to the knuckle while opening a large tin of freeze-dried blueberries with an old butcher knife.

I mean, I've got plenty to choose from, but there was a can opener in the house with that one. I was just too lazy to go upstairs.

I also burned my boobs with food, but it was the liquid lava that is the cheese in a freshly cooked Hot Pocket.
