'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

We're great. Em pulled herself up onto her knees in her bassinett yesterday. She's theeeese close to pulling all the way up on her feet. She turns 6 months tomorrow and she also eats toast.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

You are both trying to kill me with ovary pain.

6 months already - jeez man. Is she going to have birthday toast?

You know what's kind of funny? I never saw any difference in baby boys and baby girls, but Em is so clearly a girl in her photos (as is Lily). It must be another one of those mental changes that motherhood brings.

Hey. New board.

Don't worry, sj, it's probably just indigestion. Take a Pepto Bismol and call me in the morning.

Heh. I'm sure there are plenty Buffistas who wish we would get our own thread so we don't talk about kids and stuff in public. God, I can't believe I've turned into one of Those People.

(but Mal's so cute! And he does neat things! And likes carrots!)

OK, really going to bed now.

Hey. New board.

I approve of the mom talk. It makes me want babies.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It's been two weeks, and the temp agency has yet to find any work for me. I was hoping that I'd have the same luck with them here as I did in Baltimore and therefore get steady income to live on while doing the career counseling thing and looking for a job I really want to do.

I know that two weeks isn't a long time, but I've reached my own personal frustration point. I am hauling my resume back out, looking at job offers in the paper, and getting contact info for companies I'd like to work for.

All well and good, except that I HATE this. I went for months sending resumes out into a seeming void, and I'm scared to death it's going to happen again. I haven't even heard back from the store where I applied for part time work, and it's been over a week.
