Read the native american references and she told me how she felt the native americans were the most spiritual people ever.
::snork::
Okay, yay for your friend being all open minded and stuff, but that cliche is about on par with the "women are closer to the earth" one.
I can't help thinking of the Malcom in the Middle episode where the eldest son, after leaving military school and moving to Alaska, becomes obsessed with a totem pole that his friends stole.
He spends the episode trying to figure out what the figure carved in it mean, until the owner bursts in and takes it back. Turns out, he'd carved it with his kids, and it doesn't mean anything.
Bye meara!!! Much travel~ma. You will be missed. Lots~of~access~ma so we can get updates.
My love for Malcolm is great. But hey! You mean women aren't closer to the earth?
I'm running out, but I just read you lovely post in Natter and it sounds like a nice birthday is in the making. May you look back on this year of your life as the one where everything fell into place for you.
Happy travels, meara! Stay safe and have a BLAST!
Happiest birthday, Seanie!
Thanks, Laura! Have a great day yourself!
Good luck, Kristin. I will miss having you around here.
Can someone nilly the Lily pictures for me?
Hi Kristin! I like the idea of being able to see you more often soon!
Also much travel~ma to meara. We'll be expecting great stories and pictures!
sj, this just means you'll have to come visit, silly.
Also, JZ...this:
Felicitations and Excelsior and Courage, Kristin, and all the Life-ma ever. I'm also eaten up with curiosity about the job offer too good to turn down, but intend to be polite and patient rather than proddy, since your comfort and your timetable matter a hell of a lot more than anyone else's nosiness.
One of the best things anyone has said to me lately. Thank you so much for understanding my need to be a little private right now. When I am able, I will share the details. it's just going to take me a few more weeks, I think.
t smooches kwistin all over
be sure to tell emma that AUNTIE LEAH LOVES HER TOO
Lily is lovely.
I always drop the laundry. The "time saved vs money I'd spend doing it my damn self" equation always works in my mathematical favor. If I have a ton I might pull out the jeans (heavy) and the sheets and towels (volume that's not too fiddly to fold) and do those personally.
Laura, the Episcopal Church has a house blessing in its "Book of Occasional Blessings" (name cracks me up) if that would appeal to the Lutherans too.
