They should at least be able to tell you who you should call, Aimee.
'Not Fade Away'
Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I'll bet they'll tell you the mailing isn't specific enough for them to do anything, but it would be nice if someone in law enforcement was interested.
18 USCS § 876 (2005)
§ 876. Mailing threatening communications
(b) Whoever, with intent to extort from any person any money or other thing of value, so deposits, or causes to be delivered, as aforesaid, any communication containing any threat to kidnap any person or any threat to injure the person of the addressee or of another, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.
(b) Whoever, with intent to extort from any person any money or other thing of value,
Not sure that'll cut it. But I'd call the post office anyway.
I can't seem to get motivated today.
vw, did you send the thanks-but-no-thanks letter to the other position yet? Might want to hold off on that a bit.
Ya know what gets me? And I know this isn't a new thought or anything but it occured to me that, yeah, there are a lot of Mexicans in California. And other parts of the country. But know what? A lot of these people are INDIGINOUS TO THIS COUNTRY JACKHOLE. While we're hopping about in freaking elementary school learning about braids and feathers and papooses and Chockatoaw and Seminole, no one ever mentioned the indigious Mexicans (I say Mexican for lack of knowing the proper term cause I am pretty ignorant in this aspect). So ya know what Graham Casady? Take your honky ass back acroos the pond if you don't like it here. And fuck you, too. And leave the people whose ancestors have been since BEFORE GOD the fuck alone.
Ok, I'm really leaving this alone now. I'm killing threads left right and center.
Well, it's a righteous anger, with threadkilling only as an unintended side effect.
Could be worse.
You have good right to be angry. I'm a bit busy for helping bring life to threads today.
What agency (if any) has jurisdiction over the net? Because this does seem to me (and obviously to others) to be similar to the assholes who post judges' and OB/GYNs' home addresses on their websites. This isn't a threat against a specific individual, but it's plenty specific in its details of how to kill an entire class of people. Which of course brings in the free-speech-fuzzy and not entirely defensible but sometimes very useful body of hate crimes legislation.
You might want to ping the Southern Poverty Law Center on this. IIRC, they've got a decent background in monitoring hate websites, and they'd be inclined to take it seriously and know what actions to take.
