Well, other bands know more than three chords. Your professional bands can play up to six, sometimes seven, completely different chords.

Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I lied. I've got a question. My coffee must be kicking in.

So, I interviewed for a different job on Tuesday. Normally I send out thank you notes right away so they get them the next day and know my interest in the position. I didn't do that with this interview, because I was waiting to hear back from the school. Turns out I got the job at the school, so I didn't send thank you notes at all, because I didn't want to mislead them.

Here's the question, though. I feel like I should send them something letting them know I've taken a different position, and take my name out of the pool. Should I send a hand-written note, thanking them for their time and letting them know, or should I just drop them an e-mail?

What is even happening?

I wouldn't do anything until you actually start the new job, vw. Once you start, then I would send them a thank you, and in it, let them know you've accepted another position and put something nice in it about maybe working with them someday in the future.

I started the job yesterday. So, I guess I'll write that note today and get it in the mail :).

I posted a big long explanation in my LJ, but I need some immediate feedback before heading off to work.

I'm worried about a friend. Someone remind me/tell me that things will be ok.

Now tagless for your comfort.

sj, when I was young, my parents couldn't figure out why I, the girl who loved books, couldn't just read in the car during our long vacation drives. Um, the NAUSEA, that's why! Tell Teacup Guy he needs GPS.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Things will be okay, vw.

DH was cleaning the old place until 2am this morning. If we actually get our deposit back, i'm gonna let him spend it on whatever he wants.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Eeep, sj. I'm glad Teacup Guy liked everyone and dealt with the whitefont with aplomb, but he really needs to not expect you to navigate again.

vw, I haven't read the big long explanation but I'm sure it will be okay, because if it's a friend of yours you are worried about, then that person has at least one good loyal friend who will move heaven and earth for the people she cares about.

I woke up this morning thinking about Aimée's disturbing link and Gris's WHOIS results, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe she should call the police. I have a big visceral squick about curtailing free speech and regulating the internets, and a childish squick about tattling; on the other hand, this Graham Casady person has posted fairly explicit directions for hunting down toxic plants and poisoning members of a specific ethnic group.

Thrive to spite them

Someone just rode a Segway into the office area. Not my office, but the open area. There's a guy I always see around downtown on my way home that has a seqway, but this is a different guy.
