Spike's Bitches 24: I'm Very Seldom Naughty.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Heya. Back. Thanks for the ~ma. I don't know that anything will come of it, but at least I'm on record. That must count for something, right?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I just gotta say, having someone else carry your bed, dressers, and assorted bookshelves upstairs - priceless. Just a few more things to move over (I am trying very hard not to plan what will go where in my trunk while I am AT WORK and not moving things yet. SLeep, hamsters, sleep!) and we are done with the old place forever and ever, yay! Unfortunately, our house is kinda like the St. Louis hotel wrt wireless internet - we apparently have signal but can't get to the internets. Any of them. Alas.

So I have all of yesterday to catch up on...

Woohoo vw with the day of very good news! Have a wonderful first day at work!

Fay, I am stunned by the depths of crazy that Evil Boss is willing to dive into. Let us all take a moment and be glad we don't live inside his skull, that can't be a good place to be.

Cindy, I hope the credit card fraud gets resolved quickly and with no further stress for you.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Er, but god, at least there are no holes in my heart.

I figure any holes in my heart are plugged up by the cholesterol.

So, I went to a bellydancing class last night. As it turns out, I have plenty of belly, and very little dance. I have to say, for real, fencing is WAY easier than bellydancing. I am so completely uncoordinated and unable to get my brain to process how I need to move in bellydancing. A lot of it is largely hip movements, but I keep moving my *feet*, which does not yield the same result.

There is nothing -- literally 0% -- fluid about how I move. Which I already knew, but it's really annoying when I'm facing a huge mirror and I get to see just how jerky my movements are. I move like all my parts are connected by rusty hinges, rather than by a serpentine chain.

Dude. So frustrating. (I hate not getting things right the first time. This leads to me not trying a lot of things, and/or quitting after one attempt.) But, okay, I'm going to practice at home, and I'm going to give the classes -- and give myself -- at least a month.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Heya. Back. Thanks for the ~ma. I don't know that anything will come of it, but at least I'm on record. That must count for something, right?

Yep. I hope something good comes of it as well.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Steph, I'm glad you're going to give it some time. I'm trying to imagine how hard that must be.

What Perkins said.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Morning.

Still in pain, but it's better than yesterday. More, "Ouch. OUCH, dammit!" than, "Oh God, the pain, the PAIN!" Yesterday, lying back down after the ordeal of making it from couch to bathroom and back hurt so bad it would leave me panting and almost crying. Today--it just aches.

Good onya Tep, for giving it some time. It's a whole new way of moving that you need to learn. It takes time.

Thanks, y'all. Of course, I'm hoping it all becomes moot when an arts organization snaps me up, but we'll make the best of it until then.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Oh, and it's supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow and Friday. Fortunately it's supposed to rain and drop into the 60's over the weekend, because I figure even after I'm healed enough to leave the house, shaving my legs may not be on the program for awhile.

Compassionately intolerant

Solidarity OUCH for everyone in pain. What a drag. I hope it is eased quickly and leaves the afflicted bits even stronger than before.

I think my shutterfly link did not work last night. This one might do the trick. If nothing else, it will give the ouchy folk a moment of 'oooh, preehtty.'

eta: extra spaces in urls = bad. Try it now.
