Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
Need an invitation code, Typo? Let me kmow.
I just had the briefest of ficish thoughts re: Terry Pratchett and the Buffy-verse:
"You were supposed to fix him!"
"He said no!"
"When the hell did that ever stop us!"
"It's Terry Pratchett!"
"Where the hell am I going to get new Granny Weatherwax stories now?"
Raises a glass.
I think ita would have appreciated this: [link]
One of the better SPN writers, taking on Cougar/Jensen? Yeah.
The splendiferous Copperbadge has a new Avengers story out, Toy Soldiers
in sum: Captain America was in the comic books. Steve Rogers is a modern man from Brooklyn, small and sickly as a kid, who got proper medical care and thorough training, and Agent Steve Rogers will put your ass down.
His friends dare him to get the phone number of the handsome guy at the bar, and Tony Stark gives it to him. A few months later, Tony has to make a business trip to Afghanistan. Stane could only wish he just had to deal with Iron Man.
edit: My favorite quote so far: Tony tugged the pillow out from under Steve's head and hit him with it. "You're making breakfast, my tiny murderous nerd."
Oooh, I started that one, but I think I forgot to finish it. ::scurries off to read::
I've committed more Sleepy Hollow fic.
I'm reading a pretty decent fic, but I keep forgetting not to read the end notes, where the author pulls a needy "hey guys, was it okay? I'm sorry if this sucked" and many variations on the theme. It doesn't even feel like guilt tripping to get comments. The fact that it's a part of almost every chapter (there are thirty) is detrimental to my fic enjoyment. Those are the notes at the end. The notes at the beginning are just as awful, but I've had better success skimming those.
