Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I think a lot of it is that it's far easier to write. I have a bunny that I've been putting on paper just to get it out of my head, and the non-modern details are a BITCH, especially in a realisticish-but-not-real world, where I'm pretty sure the author is making stuff up and simplifying a lot from historical sources in his worldbuilding.

Thrive to spite them

I'm still trying to figure out if I want to try alpha/beta/omega stuff. It's out there, there's not stopping it. I don't know any of the good stuff, I don't know if that's something I'd be interested in. I read the descriptions and some of them sound good, but I'm not really fond of mpreg so there's that.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Some of it is uncomfortably hot. Especially the stuff in Sherlock fandom. I, err, may have read a lot of it.

Not so big on it elsewhere, but Ihey, in a pinch, and especially if I need skeevy consent issues.

Oh! There is the (not exactly sexy, but so, so, so funny and so in character) Jeeves and Wooster Omegaverse fic from Yuletide. You should read that. EVERYONE should read that.

Oh dear lord. I may actually have to read that, even though I don't read A/B/O

brillig

I never got into the omegaverse stuff, and BDSM has never floated my boat, even though several authors I respect write those genres.

I need to track down Alan Moore's story "What Ho, Elder Gods", which is a Cthulhu/Jeeves and Wooster story.

Holy shit, so basically imagine if the O-verse was real, and Wodehouse just happened to write about Jeeves going inconveniently into heat. I just...

I'm laughing just thinking about it. It was completely nutty and totally inspired.

Okay I'm reading those tomorrow. Or rather later today.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I don't think there is enough alcohol on the planet to make me able to properly appreciate that.
