Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

I don't think fanfic has ever led me to a show or book that I actually loved, but it did point me toward Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, which I have a cheesy good time watching.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Hmm. Sports Night is the first thing that comes to my mind. I'm watching Wiseguy because of fandom.

I know there have to be others.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I watched The Sentinel and Highlander due to fanfic.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Fanfic is what got me watching Due South.

Thanks for the Schnoogle link, Gris.

Yeah, I probably watched Sentinel because so many Highlander writers also wrote Sentinel. Which is not to say that Sentinel was a good show.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Which is not to say that Sentinel was a good show.

But it was fun!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Schnoogle has some great stories. I like the EasleyWeasley stories (written post-OotP but pre-HBP), which feature more of Dean Thomas and involve more political machinations. Katling has a new post-HBP story WIP which is really excellent so far.

brillig

a mother and daughter named Siobhan and Shavonne.

It sounds like a variant on father and son being John and John Jr.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

More like a father and son being named John and Jon.
