I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

cousinjean has now LEFT LIVEJOURNAL OMG YOU EVIL CAPITALISTS.

Or something along those lines. Also, people supported her in e-mail, and she totally has mysterious disabilities we know nothing about, and don't be afraid to follow your dreams, people, peace out!

Some day I want to form a band called The Lurkers Support Me in Email.

I was vaguely appalled that someone reported her to LJ for TOS violations. Because she wasn't really doing anything illegal on LJ.

People totally should follow their dreams. I just don't see why they should ask the rest of us to pay for them to do so. That's what the NEA is for. *g*

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That whole "pay me for writing fanfic" was an amusing little train-wreck to watch.

Instead, just thanking the rec for "Cartographer's" - it has been converted by me to a single HTML file for viewing on my Pocket PC by the pool! Yay! I love novel-length fics.

That particular author has several really good novel-length fics. Even though it was thoroughly jossed by HBP, his "Amid My Solitude" is one of my favorite fanfics, ever.

What's this Worst-Case-Scenario thing y'all are talking about?

Actually, LJ has rules against advertising in your LJ for commercial endeavors.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Kennedy is caught up in a riot. She dies.

In what world is this a worst-case scenario?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I'm offended on behalf of the 14 or so co-writers on the project, some of whom I know.

And I'm still just boggled.

I got snarked at by some anonymous who said "a lawyer would tear your argumentation to shreds." Uh... right.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Okay, now that's hilarious.

Yeah. I would feel sorry for her, except I ... can't.

Actually, LJ has rules against advertising in your LJ for commercial endeavors.

Really? So, hypothetically, if I'm a hairdresser, and I want to blog about how my perms are the bestest and my highlightings skills are the shiznit, and here's my phone number if you need a perm or highlights, I can get TOSed?

I would not have guessed that.

My favorite comment so far:

Her reality check has obviously bounced.

And yes, that is my understanding. But, you know, you have to be reported to LJ. So you'd probably have to piss someone on your fl off in order to get TOSsed.

Yeah, but. I think this is a really grey area, and you could see it as no worse than the woman who put up a paypal donation box so people could give her money to replace her stolen laptop, or whatever.

Okay, now that's hilarious.

I got a kick out of the comment, which accused me of sophistry and then misspelled 'argument'. Plus the whole lawyer thing.

Really? Huh, the entire Gothic fashion universe is screwed, then.

And I'm still just boggled.

Yep, this.
