Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not feeling the allure of the Beacon Hills calling all the writers and artists over to their side, shirt?

I *love* the show. It's fun, and it's sad, and it's got people with really good hearts who aren't sappy--they're our heroes, but it's not preachy in a Smallvillian kind of a way, There's a lot of sweet left in it still.

And a fair amount of stupid--I don't get how werewolves got as far as they did, if Derek is a reasonable sample of same. Hanging out around high schools looking for social outcasts and gives them confidence as well as heals their every ill. And then said rescuer makes it very clear who's the alpha in this group of broken and abused kids. ::shakes head:: I can't believe the number of "Well, I didn't have the full use of my legs in high school--of course she should become a half-animal with no physical impediments, and you can't judge her."

Isn't that the focus of a well-told story...that you do judge their experiences, because you feel you've been given enough information on them along the way Too much in medias res and you lose touch with who they are.

Also, Sterek with either be canon or...::deliberately waves pride flags over the lead's heads::..

I reserve the right to delete this in the harsh light of day.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I actually haven't watched any yet, ita. I'm at the point where I'm just digging in my heels and being contrary because it seems like everyone's on the Teen Wolf bandwagon right now.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The show's awesome. The ship's... well, Greensilver says Nerd/Clam. Which, fine. Nerd/Clam is all well and good. But I so totally DO NOT SEE IT.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

There's essentially nothing in the show itself to support the ship, but if them winning the competition results in Tyler Hoechlin macking on a male co-star in behind-the-scenes footage I won't be too broken up about it.

Besides, maybe a loss will bring out the competitive instinct in Jeremy Carver...

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I lamented this elsewhere: one of my all-time favorite fic writers has started writing Teen Wolf. I guess I'm going to have to start watching the damn show, because I will read anything Kassie writes. I just wish she'd go back to bandom.

AND I TOLD YOU ELSEWHERE, when you are done with deadlines, we are so totally having a drink-and-wolf-out day at my house.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I lamented this elsewhere: one of my all-time favorite fic writers has started writing...

There needs to be a greeting card for that. "My condolences that your favorite fic writer has moved on to a canon you don't follow."

(Or, the variation, "Incest? JFC, WHY?")

BUT WEREWOLVES. WHY? WHY WEREWOLVES? Hmmph.

There really does. The sad thing is, I'll follow her to the fandom. Besides, I have Plei and Cass pushing me into the fandom, so Kassie writing for it just kind of sealed my foretold doom.

Wishes for Hansel and Gretel incest have already gone across my dash.

Seriously? You don't even need to know stuff about them?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I lamented this elsewhere: one of my all-time favorite fic writers has started writing Teen Wolf.

Once I accepted she's never going back to the 'verse I'd love, kill or pay for more of? I am just thrilled she's writing. (And, really, you barely need canon to enjoy it. It's obviously funnier when you know canon because, well, it's this author. But you don't need much to enjoy the story. There is a wolf, he's a teen. He's got a sarcastic friend we all like better than him. Hijinks ensure.) So I am superhappy about it.

There needs to be a greeting card for that. "My condolences that your favorite fic writer has moved on to a canon you don't follow."

Honestly, this has happened to me a few times. And often they are fandoms where I just Do Not Want.

There should be a someecard. But they demanded that I create an account with them so I didn't save the one I just made.
