I've been dealing with insurance shit. I really needed the laugh. One of the funniest bits of fan fiction - well, ever.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wow, I didn't realize that AO3's recent overload problem was mostly due to ff.net drama. AO3 currently has 17,000 people in the invitation queue.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Wow. Fandom's...big.

Always Anti-fascist!

holy shit...really? Weird. Kind of frustrating, too. (Because it's wonky a lot lately.)

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

What ff.net drama? Are they all migrating to AO3? Someone on my FFlist said the other day the frequent outage was from all the Avengers fic.

I heard the Avengers thing too, but I think it's a joke. ff.net is cracking down on explicit fic, apparently, and people are migrating.

I mean, I'm sure Avengers fandom doesn't improve the situation. Except for me, and my reading situation.

Wow. I'd heard about ff.net cracking down on explicit fic, but mentally I hadn't made the connection to the AO3 overload. But it totally makes sense that with that many people probably flipping their nut and trying to get AO3 accounts to import fic before it goes away? Yeah, that would break stuff.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

What ff.net drama?

There is a notice on the FFN front page dated June 4 going into detail on the difference between M (allowed) and MA (not allowed) ratings. And within short order I discovered that one of my favorite purveyors of smut had several stories removed, and access to her account restricted. Forthwith I edited/tamed my smuttiest pieces and put in the addresses to the full-frontal versions on AO3.

But it totally makes sense that with that many people probably flipping their nut and trying to get AO3 accounts to import fic before it goes away?

FFN is blocking AO3's automatic import feature, all of a sudden. I had to CC&P my last fic posted to AO3.

AHAH. I have a Calibre plug-in that does an FFN import, and that didn't work for me tonight: I guess it's being blocked, too.
