So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I don't think I'm ashamed of any of my occasional pairings, but there's very little I don't/won't read. I tend to not read any Spikefic, unless someone I know and trust wrote it, and I pretty much won't read Spike/Buffy these vdays, though I'll occasionally write it.

And while I've tried it, Angel/Cordy squicks me even harder than Buffy/Giles.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Rory/Paris is an awesome pairing.

What's everybody's most shameful OTP?

Shameful...shameful...

You kind of need shame for that.

Hey. New board.

I get the shame sometimes because my college friends don't understand the whole fandom/fic thing. So when I tell them that I not only watch the Gilmore Girls, but commonly imagine two of the girls in it getting together, one of whom they probably don't even think is hot and the other of whom is mostly annoying on the show (sorry, Rory), then, well...

Yeah. Shame. Guess I do get a little of it now and again.

I sometimes feel kind of shameful that I want to read fic with Jessie from Once and Again, but I really just want more story of her, not anything perverse. Of course, one way I could do that would be actually get the chance to see seasons 2 and 3 (especially 3, I think, for Jessie), which may finally come true soon: Season 2 is actually getting released on DVD this year. (!)

brillig

I've got some Buffy/Giles stored safely on my hard drive, where no one can take it away from me in a fit of "that's dreadfully inappropriate." One or two WillowSue/Spikes survived a recent purge, as well.

Always Anti-fascist!

Any time I get wrapped up in thinking some character/me I get embarrassed, but I don't write those. Just think about them in the shower. I think I'll read Bayliss/Anyone, damn near.

Thrive to spite them

There are a couple of stories that are really really horrid that I have a soft spot for, they aren't on my harddrive but occasionally I go back and read them.

And there's this one due south necrophiliac story that I really didn't want to like but couldn't help myself.

Is that the creepy one you showed me?

Maybe, if it was F/K and Fraser was the dead guy. It should be wrong, but there's something compelling about it.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Yes, Virginia, once upon a time I said, "Slash? Guys together? That's--but why?"

nods

That's me! Only with Harry Potter fic.

Upon which note, my most shameful pairings would be cross-generational HP stories. Have only read a handful, and do find the idea v. squicksome, for obvious reasons...but when something's written or rec'd by someone you really trust, well - argh.

Argh.

I don't think I ever said "Guys together? But why?" I grew up with enough guys together on tv for me to know of the hotness early on. It's perhaps unsurprising then that there's not much I won't read. RPS is a definite squick. Also, and I'm sorry everyone who writes him, but I just can't see Snape in any kind of sexual way, ever. Same for Giles. And now you're all going to throw stories at me to change my mind, I know. But just, ew.

I can't think of any pairings that I'm embarassed about reading. Where did my shame go? I'm sure I used to have some.
