Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
It's also got to be chronologically-appropriate, as we're talking about English schoolkids in 1939.
Oh, right. This is Narnia. I'm, like, the only person around who's never read a single Narnia book. I think I might have watched an animated version of the first book that was made back in the 1970's when I was wee (dubbed, of course.) It's like that time when I didn't know what the hell "Where the Wild Things Were" was and had people look at me askance.
Vonnie, I know you're not a born American, but that's no excuse for being heathen! OMGlolol!
t sticks out tongue at ita
Now, Anne of Green Gables? We were ALL OVER that. And A Dog of Flanders, which I was surprised to hear was not that very popular here (it IS an awful downer.)
And don't even talk to me about Sesame Street. I still don't know what Bert and Ernie look like.
Like this, is all you need to know.
Hahaha. Erm, which one is Bert and which one's Ernie again? It's like that time when mely from LJ said she couldn't remember the names of McKay and Sheppard from SGA, so she thought of them as Bert and Ernie, and I couldn't figure out which one was which. The only muppets I recognize are Kermit and Miss Piggy.
... and Rygel and the Pilot, of course.
Bert is tall and Ernie is bratty.
Abed is Bert.
Now, Anne of Green Gables? We were ALL OVER that.
I just finished rereading the first three books on my (new-to-me) Kindle. They're so nostalgically domestic. I love that late-80s miniseries they did, too, although the many-years-later sequel is an abomination.
How do you like your Kindle btw? I'm flirting with the idea of getting an eBook reader but the choices out there are confusing. Is Kindle overall superior to Nook? I'm trying not to look at iPad 'cause, hello, expensive!
It's a bit off topic but... wait, no! I can read fic on Kindle! So not really off topic, right?
