Fay, I just read your whitefont description, and ... nope, SO not reading it now. (Which is not to say that I was going to ignore everyone else's warnings, it's just that
The Velveteen Rabbit
makes me cry every damn time, even if I'm just trying to explain the story to someone who's never read it, like Pete.)
I have not had a chance to sit down and really look at what went up for Yuletide! I know there's new Lost Boys fic, and I know there's new Umbrella Academy. I'm hoping for new Addams Family.
There are a couple of Addam Family stories.
I kind of like this Coupling UK story. [link]
In non-Yuletide news (lovely though Yuletide is), someone took lines from a whole lot of LJ's SGA Storyfinders comm and made a poem out of them. It's terrific and really sums up the whole storyfinders experience. Especially the tiny pig.
Yuletide: Aladdin, after "The End." So much better than Disney ever dreamed. I did sniffle a bit.
God, I'm still crying! But what a perfect example of fanfiction as something genuinely transformative and enriching.
Heh. I did sniffle while reading it. Okay, a few tears. But I was telling someone I knew would understand about it--just "about it", not even quotes, and I choked up. Could not speak. And when I did force out the words, floods of tears came too. Trying to describe it made me realize just how hard it really had hit me.
ETA: It's just been brought to my attention that I appear to be a big old ball o' boohoo today anyway. So maybe factor that into the equation.
Oh, Lost Boys fic! [link]
Okay, on a whim, based on a response to a meme in my LJ, I just ficced Chuck and Gossip Girls.
My first fic in something like seven years.

EEEE! Yuletide authors are being revealed!
