Suela, at first I thought you were saying someone had done an audiofic of "Kansas" and was terribly disappointed when I reread your post.(And that's not one of yours, is it? Was it Kernezelda?)
Laga, I'm now convinced I'm being told to finish my Anya of the latest Buffy issue and give Daniel Craig the line from your dream. Do you mind? I mean, I don't want to defy the mysterious oracular powers of the world, but I want to defy the Buffistas even
less.

Well, I've been listening to the story in question, and I assure you that it's not at all disappointing! Quite the reverse!
Is this
Kansas
good too, then?
The penultimate episode (7x21), "Institutional Memory" was like all the sad, beautiful Toby/CJ put to screen. God, I love that episode.
God yes it was. I have to say, I rather liked season seven. It did a respectable job of putting all its ducks in a row (seriously almost typed that as "fucks" which would have been a Very Different Show) and I was bawling by the inaguration.
Wow, that's a nice thing to say. Jeez.
Chrismq, "Kansas" the Farscape story is by M. If you go here, you should find it. And as good as Kernezelda is, she'd be honored and flabbergasted to be mistaken for M. As would I, really.
Um. Speaking of that story of mine, I appear to have committed sequel, of sorts:

Huh.
Suela, first of all Brenda's post made me realize I might have sounded disparaging - "Oh, I thought it was THIS GREAT STORY by this OTHER PERSON" - and that's not what I meant at all. Your fic is always fantastic, and I'm really sorry if it sounded like I thought otherwise.
(And if I needed reminding, I just followed that link and saw the John-and-Little-D story. Augh(In the good way).)
That having been said -
thank you!
I remembered someone had written "Seven Ways SG-1 destroyed the world, with bonus slash and Buffy crossover" but I hadn't realized that was M! Oooh, and there's a Year That Never Was story with Sally Sparrow!
--and "Kansas" itself, of course. It feels different now, like another version slipped in from an unrealized reality. But the flavor is still sweet and painful, and the voices so clear I can hear Ben Browder and Wayne Pygram saying the lines. Sigh.
Fay - Well, see Suela's comment above. The only thing I wonder is - do you know Farscape at all? It's a future-fic, so all you really need is the setup for the later seasons. And the sheer story-ness of it all would carry through.
I think this was a pretty good day.
Oh, no worries. And I'm happy to share M.'s work: she's awesome and I think everyone should read her stuff.
I seriously hated Congresswoman Andie for saying that, especially *after* he gives her twins.
Thinking there's a future after you knock someone up isn't exactly a mixed signal, right?
(/overidentifying)
Because I have no fear of ever hearing that.
But...my friend the slightly depressive political junkie? She gets concerned. Especially since she doesn't exactly have looks she can coast on,though I think she has a certain exotic appeal.
Thanks for all the recs!! I am thrilled, Joe is not so much.
