Woe to the fucking wicked.

In the name of procrastination:

Loose Ends (Dredsen Files)

Juggling Mirrormask

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I LOVED that Mirrormask fic. Loved it. Put it on my list of faves (which is still growing).

Mine are:

Ritual and Return (xxxHolic)

The End Is Where We Start From (Princess Tutu)

FYI, for those who aren't necessarily into anime, Princess Tutu is a fun series. About halfway through, I wondered if they'd brought Neil Gaiman in as a story consultant.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I wrote Brushes on Canvas (Ngaio Marsh -- Inspector Alleyn Mysteries) and Fairy Tale of L.A. (Life).

Naturally, the 200-word yuletide treat got more comments than the full-sized story, but given the difference in fandoms, I expected that. I'm very pleased with the response both stories got.

I wrote Breakaway (Whistle!) and Good Luck Pig (Nobuta wo Produce) for a pinch hit. I expect none of you to read them. Heh.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I wrote:

As Many as Stars in the Sky (The Neverending Story)

the Flyting of Crisp-Kari (Njal's Saga)

Rumpus, Hubbub, Hullaballoo (Something Wicked This Way Comes) for our own shrift.

Nutty, seriously, if you hadn't written that story, I would have flipped out like a mammal. Which is to say that it was so very awesome that it would terrify me if there were another genius out there who wrote exactly what I wanted.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Heh. And here I thought you'd pegged me on the excessive use of commas. How could I not write it? It was the story I wanted to read, too.

I'm really pleased to see that I raved about a story (Bright Moon, Who Goes Farther Still, a Watership Down story) that turned out to be written by a friend of mine. She'd even told me months ago she was writing that fandom and I'd forgotten. Hah!

So many great stories this year.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

The Treat that MADE Yuletide for me? Written by my giftee! This has cracked us both up. (Writing for friends is a special kind of hell. Fun, but more stress.)

Should I reveal what Jilli wrote? She was going to reveal it. Mely liked it!

I say yes, you should.
