Oh, those parantheticals are brilliance. and this is for the win:
"Sheppard, are you talking to your hair again?" McKay asked.
"What? No," Sheppard lied.
I am slowly coming out from my yuletide coma. and this is just the first round of story-reading, too. The next is when I go back and re-read some stuff for canon and then go read the fic I skipped the first time. Ah, perfected systems.
Oh. Dear. God.
Did everyone already read the Sesame Street Porn?
I haven't laughed so hard in MONTHS. I mean, it was horrified, brain-go-boom laughter, but...OMG. See, I never
did
read that Carebear S&m story, but this....good heavens. Bert. Ernie.
...It's so horrifyingly
in character,
that's the thing.
I'm afraid to go near it.
I read it. It broke my brain.
not reading not reading not reading...
God, that's like finding a visual link that sends ita running for the brain bleach!
It is very well-done wrongness. I watch a lot of Sesame Street, and it was in character, which is a scary thought. Yet, as it turns out, even I a capable of being shocked.
It was
spectacularly
in character.
...I thought it was great. Of course, it probably helps that I didn't really grow up on
Sesame Street.
Mind you, this episode of
Rainbow
(TV show I grew up with) pretty much made my head explode when it was aired several years back as part of a late night TV comedy thing. (This particular episode was never actually aired as part of the show, I hasten to add. It would seem that it had been gathering dust for many years...)
