I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I need to stop bidding on people.

Anne, this is a recurring event, so you can easily sign up next round.

It's a weird feeling to discover a story you'd completely forgotten you ever wrote, isn't it? I would have sworn I'd never written Buffyverse.

I can't tell much about "Prisoner of War" from McShep Match without spoiling other than saying it's very good. But read it if you're an angsty SGA fan!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Matt, I read that on a friend's rec yesterday. It is good. Hard to read, for various reasons, but good.

And I rarely even read SGA!

Matt, I'm a little way into that Invisible Prisoner and I've hit a pretty big canonical error: anyone who goes off world gets an MRI and/or blood test as soon as they come back in order to make sure they aren't taken over by a Goa'uld. Standard procedure. So no way could Sheppard be snaked, go offworld, come back, and have no one notice.

Also, if he'd come anywhere near Teal'c, or Helena had, the game would have been up.

Of course, I'm only partway through so far. But that twigged my canon-loving brain pretty hard.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Ok, if you are wanting a good cry from some HP fic, here's this one: [link]

That zoomed right by me 'Suela, though she did raise the issue of Sheppard having to avoid close proximity to Caldwell since he was a former host.

Frankly, Matt, it's a bigass clunker of a plot problem--and it read to me as therefore a story written by someone who only knows SG-1 in the context of SGA.

If I'd written that, Nutty would have chased me up and down the hallways with a cleaver before letting me post it with that big a logical flaw in it. (And I would have done the same for her. *g*)

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

(Luckily, I don't know that canon detail at all! This is why I do not beta outside my own canon-knowledge.)

(Although one time I had the pleasure of doing beta for somebody who designed a whole navigation system using tiny lat/long numbers stamped onto the thoraxes of bees. I got to have a page-long beta-digression about how one would know that the bees meant the northern/western hemisphere, if no cardinal direction-letter was included.)

Did anyone here go to VividCon? If so, how could you not tell me about Another Sunday?!?

Caution, if you do not have a high tolerance for 80s music video cheesetasticness, WATCHING THIS WILL KILL YOU!
