I feel totally lame too, so we're a matched set. *g*

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
I only mentioned it to underline the fact that I genuinely liked the story, and that this response may have shown a lack of literary discrimination on my part, but it definitely wasn't tinged by fangirling.
I think I know how you feel. I don't like every story that really popular fic authors write, and I get defensive when people assume that I'm -- er, to put it bluntly -- sort of brainlessly following the crowd.
As Dana said, Cesca is a force of nature and I imagine that not everyone finds her as entertaining as I do.
As noted above, Sweet Charity is live. Bid on a hapless writer or artist or vidder or knitter and make them follow your orders!
I'm up there, but what's pretty exciting, I think, is the number of good vidders who can be had for a relative steal, considering the prices that get paid in the Vividcon auction.
I think that for me, the best story in SGA fandom is a tie between Martha Wilson's Retrograde series, which is awesome plotty crossover comfort-fic, and M.'s Your Cowboy Days are Over, which is critical thinky post-colonial deconstruction of the Atlantis mission. With porn.
As long as we're plugging Sweet Charity, note that yours truly has knitting -of-your-choice up, and I note a number of other Buffista names I recognize are also offering fic and whatnot.
Is it too late to sign up to contribute? As in, to offer to write something?
Anne -- alas, yes.
I'm also doing Sweet Charity. I offered three pieces. May the fic gods give me strength.
I need to stop bidding on people.
Anne, this is a recurring event, so you can easily sign up next round.
It's a weird feeling to discover a story you'd completely forgotten you ever wrote, isn't it? I would have sworn I'd never written Buffyverse.
