In fanon, is there a generally accepted timeline of when the stories are taking place? Is Year One the year that book was published, and we go from there?
There is a timeline worked out like you would not believe. It's probably over at the Harry Potter Lexicon. Gimme a second, and I'll check. But you can work the timing out from the fact that Harry was born in 1980, and his parents were killed in 1981.
Well cripes.

Unfortunately, some of the links on that page are not working. I suspect they may have pulled them down to update it. But still, there's plenty of information there.

Where it comes back from the dead, changed, different, WRONG!
I mean, it is a SPN bunny. The poor fuzzy thing's doomed to something horrific from the start.

No! It was a fluffy, gamboling, snarky bunny!
But now it's going to be the fluffy bunny from Hell, and I will have to put it down like a dog.
May I note that the fic about five other scenarios for the Brothers Winchester that was cited yesterday contains a
Watership Down
section? Now
that's
a plot bunny....
“My Chief Rabbit has told me to defend this run and until he says otherwise, I shall stay here"
Big Wig or Dean? You decide.
Argh!
The Weekly World News is shutting down.
(Luckily, I think the section in my WIP that uses it as a cover story would, timeline-wise, predate the announcement, but still!)
