Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Lee, did you see the rec I posted? Here, I'll repost for the Buffistas:

And Fear the Silence is the Word of God, by Flora Hart. Season 1, set after "Faith". Dean Winchester, and what he believes. Just gorgeous: lovely prose, great insight.

And, what the hell: if there's any of my stuff you missed, it'll be here: [link] (With the possible exception of the Heart post-ep, which I haven't coded and uploaded yet.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I did! I haven't read it yet, but it is in my to be printed file.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It's very good, but part of me wishes that she'd been able to align it to current canon, or had just left out that disclaimer at the top, because it kept pulling me out of the story.

I guess I'll have to re-read (what a hardship) now that I know where things don't quite align.

with a gleam in my eye, and an almost airtight alibi

Dana -- I just meant that if all the fandom journals were being reinstated, and it seems now that they have been, there's very good odds that in fact a fandom journal would be reinstated. If there's anything to splutter about in that "half," it's the idea that there might be that many journals actively promoting real pedophilia and incest etc.

Consuela, could you remind me of the name of that author we were talking about at drinks the other night? I seem to recall Rosemary something-or-other, but I'm iffy on the last name and I would really like to find those books. Thanks!

Sail, would it be Edgehill? (spelling possibly different)

Unfortunately, not. That's who I keep coming up with, but it wasn't, which is why it's so frustrating. Argh.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Kirstein? The Steerswoman books?

If that's who it is, I LOVE those books. They're what got me journalling on paper again.

As far as Edgehill is concerned, the only thing I've read of hers is Bell, Book and Murder, which Jilli rec'd, and I liked those three a lot.

Kirstein it is! I thought it was something with a K sound, but I looked for Kee, Kei, Kie, but I don't know if I tried Kir. I know some of her books are older, so they may not currently be in print in the bookstore. At least now I know what I'm looking for!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just meant that if all the fandom journals were being reinstated, and it seems now that they have been, there's very good odds that in fact a fandom journal would be reinstated.

Ah, gotcha. I still cling to my inherent irritatedness about how it was handled.
