Stop means no. And no means no. So . . . stop.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well, I was "blaming" her for my glee.
Misspelled "thanking" there?

I will check my mail.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm not sure I feel much of a disconnect. It's not exactly a gritty, true-to-life drama. And the protagonist has a (toy riding) unicorn on the show in canon, so he and the preteen girls writing sparkly winged fanfic about him would be on the same page.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Also sings about "Guy Love" with the secondary protagonist in canon. Wings is simply redundant gilding on the slash lily.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

*Silly* wings, sure. They'd totally go there in canon, with JD musing about the advantages of having wings.

This is like, wingfic that explores the ramifications of mass genetic mutation on society, with added slash and babyfic.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I've read two well-written and interesting SPN wingfics. No, wait, three, although the third is sort of about how Sam is dead and has wings and hangs around helping Dean.

All the other wingfic in SPN give the wings to Dean, I'm not sure why. Maybe because he doesn't have the magical visions of doom and the angsty destiny.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I have never heard of wingfic before. My life has been so sheltered.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It's a staple of popslash.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Sadly, chicken feet and beaks are wildly underrepresented in the fanfic market.

Chickens just aren't sexy, poor things. I bet the wings in question are more swan than chicken, too.

There was a Clark/Lex story with a giant radioactive chicken.

Google gave me neither love nor slash when I tried to find it though.
