Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

You know, I think we're all tempted to skip over plot sometimes, but usually, we don't draw our readers' attention to it by listing all of the things we're skipping because they're boring and don't involve sex.

You know, if it were a parody, I would be amused. I mean, I'm still amused, but in that case I'd be successfully amused.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, there are stories that do it well, like The Physicist Bride.

What with one thing and another, Rodney found some weapons-grade plutonium.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm still trying to figure out what "dangling-participle that was Nikita and Helmut’s marriage" means. Modifying the what, now?

I have the horrified suspicion that it's the "dangling" upon which she's concentrating...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I finally watched Bad Timing last night, and will probably watch The Peacekeeper Wars tonight or tomorrow.

Now that I am done with the series and can't be spoiled, who has fan fic/vid recs? (I will of course be looking at Polyamourous Recs).

Lee, remind me tonight, and I'll post the question for you in my J of L. Though I bet Suela will beat me to the infogather.

Hey. New board.

Even though I know it's completely wrong when one examines the "evidence" and "canon," and other such silly things, my head has always conflated Drusilla with the gypsy girl that Angel got cursed for. I think it's the way he refers to Drusilla as his "greatest sin" in that season 2 episode that has the awesomely creepy playground Drusilla teaser (Lie to Me? I think?). For a long time, I simply wasn't paying enough attention to realize that it wasn't the sin he was being punished for, directly.

So in that AU universe of my head, I'm all over Romanian Drusilla.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Lee, what's your preferences? Het, gen, slash, au, crossover? PWP, epics, noirish mysteries?

I'd start with the Bright Shiny Objects site, and PolyRecs. I have a somewhat out-of-date recs page on my website, but you should be able to find most of the fic on Leviathan. (All of these are linked right off my LJ.)

I pretty much like it all, as long as it's well written. I'll those sites to my look at list.

Thanks!

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Dear God, I love Nikita!writer.

I just - she's a rock. I was feeling tired and grumpy and sad, and reading those paragraphs made me SNORT and laugh until my sides ached.

...I don't even know where to begin commenting. It's all just so - she's so - I just - dear heavens, she's funny.
