Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

You consider attending a movie for the third time... for the purposes of fanfic research.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I haven't read a lot of Qui-gon/Obi-Wan

Yahtzee's stories were the first ones I read, I think. I've only read a handful of TPM stories (largely from Poly Recs), but there's some fun stuff out there. (Needless to say, I've loved reading Fearless Diva's WIP 'The Language of Baked Goods', which is damned funny but also sexy and all that good stuff.

TPM will always mean torch to me.

I've seen lots of mentions of Ep III fic, but since I still haven't seen the movie like the sad overworked peon that I am, I can offer no recs.

Can you at least point the desperate addicted fic-hunters at the places where such a thing was mentioned, to give a wider hunting-ground? (I quite understand if it's, say, f-locked ljs, but it seems worth asking.)

But what I really want to read is the post-Ep III OB/QG fic.

I'm afraid to say that, having firmly resisted the Q/O concept (on the grounds of icky age-gap) ever since having hear of it, I'm gradually coming around to the idea; post-Ep III is the perfect place for it.

Ways to know you have crossed The Fandom Line: You consider attending a movie for the third time... for the purposes of fanfic research.

puts hand up Repeated viewings of HP:POA. To look more closely at Sirius' tatoos, among other things. That was when I learned that yes, you can in fact take notes in a cinema.

I have a vague memory of a Luke/Han story that went to a number of the places that idea could take you.

If I only had a brain...

Guys,

I know about Leviathan and Kansas. Are there other Farscape fic dumps I should be aware of? Is there any good stuff from the Fluffy Bunnies?

Uh. No? Surfing back on my friendslist from the 19th on would make my eyes bleed, and I'm editing this post to clarify that I don't have time because my friendslist is ginormous. And a good portion of those mentions were RPS. (And if you were looking, zahra's been posting it.)

I found what I could, and I haven't read any of these, although I've recommended the authors in the past:

Salvage, by Mary.

The Last Day of Endless Summer, by Dee.

Blooming in the Sands, by ingrid.

t hacks up a lung

I'm sorry, you're serious?

Herrm. I cannot say, haven't been there. But consider the name. They're very much into the shmoop.

Farscape World has some fic. And Leviathan-the-list, as opposed to the archive. Glass_Onion archive.

As for people, check out themonkeycabal on LJ: that's Red, and she's written some very good stuff by herself and in combination with somedaybitch (aka Waltersgirl). You won't agree with their politics, but they're good writers.

Other sources would be the Yuletide archives and sundry people's memories. There's been a number of ficathons lately. Have you looked at the Sprogwars community? Oh, and yes, Crack_Van and Bright Shiny Objects and PolyRecs.

Thank you for those links, shrift. And thanks, Dana, I'd forgotten crack_van. Not quite sure how.
