Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
Who's the blindfolded one?
Mild spoiler: Touda. He's the human form of the Big Ass Snake that Tsuzuki summons in the last arc, and yes, the two of them have some lovely chemistry.
Huh. Okay, I remember that, but does he actually appear like that in the anime? (Says the person who has an unopened box set of the anime sitting on her coffee table.)
Unfortunately not, Dana.
Could somebody tell me what fandom this sketch is in? Because I'd like to order six gallons, ta.
As those who have come before have said, the one in glasses and white is EVIL Doctor Muraki. He is EVIL and fey and EVIL and he has many potential love interests and also is EVIL. Really, really evil. Did I mention that he's hot and fey and evil? And has a sexy pimp boyfriend named Oriya? Muraki had childhood trauma. It really doesn't excuse his evil.
Muraki is obsessed with Tsuzuki. Tsuzuki is gorgeous and old and powerful and sweet, and a goof obsessed with desserts, but he's a really, really (insanely, dude, like whoa) powerful goof with old hurts. Old, nasty unspeakable hurts. He's. God, Tsuzuki's hot when he's evil. If I remember correctly, Tsuzuki can call on 12 shikigami (powers), which makes him THE rock star of all death gods. Despite this, he can't hold onto a partner for around 70 years, until he meets his current partner Hisoka. (I dunno, Tsuzuki is sort of, like, a mix of Xander and Spike and Angel and Wesley. Is that enough combined guilt for you? It might not be enough for Tsuzuki.)
In the picture, the one threatening Muraki is Touda. Touda is Tsuzuki's, one of his shikigami. Tsuzuki calls upon his shikigami in times of need, and I believe they agree to serve and aid him of their own free will. Touda's not in the anime as far as I can recall, and as of volume 8 (released in English in the US) he hasn't yet appeared in the manga. But Touda is fire, wildfire. Tsuzuki gave him peace (something to do with getting Touda out of his prison for some crime), and Touda is willing to do whatever Tsuzuki says.
And, well. When you consider the relationships between Touda, Muraki, and Tsuzuki? That picture is even more unbearably hot. Is all I'm saying.
I'm tired of villains needing to have horrible traumas in their past. Whatever happened to evil for evil's sake?
Well, in this case, Muraki's more about "I like killing people. I like killing people a lot. I also like torture. Would you like me to torture you? You're so pretty when you cry." rather than spanking his inner moppet.
"I like killing people. I like killing people a lot. I also like torture. Would you like me to torture you? You're so pretty when you cry."
And I think we can all support that, at least in fiction.
Betsy, I suspect you'd like YnM. It's over-the-top melodrama, gorgeous in its excesses, and the subtext is tasty. Plus, there are occasional vampires, and there's one episode about music. It's called "Descendants of Darkness" in English, and Netflix has it.
Ooooh, that sounds fun. I guess I'll have to track this down.
I ... I cannot believe I am asking this, but a friend is trying to find any RPF with a pairing of Glen Danzig/Henry Rollins.
No, I don't understand it either. But I thought I'd ask, just in case any of you have seen such a thing.
