Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Dana, I so look forward to these updates. They're priceless.

Do we know how old she is?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Giggling helplessly.

Hee.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

well-placed bunt of a gun’s butt to his temple.

And then the runner on base broke for third...

See, my mind went to a cake place there, rather than sports. I wasn't sure how a cake related to a gun, but then I never knew guns had butts either.

Mmm, cake.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Do we know how old she is?

She's married and has a career. I'd guess she's at least in her 30s.

Sometimes I wonder if I invest too much effort in fic. I'm trolling the internet for Bible Concordances for various theological points that I want to fling around in a crucial section of Nessuno. I just caught myself thinking, "I've got the New International translation handy, I should go to the other room and pull down the King James Version to compare these verses."

It's a fic, woman, it's not a sermon.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

You're just being thorough.

And I expect you to tell me the same at some point in the future.

Let me just say thank god for the inter-bunny, because I can whip through research questions in seconds when they pop up as I'm writing. "When did so-and-so die, anyway?" or "Oh, gosh, when was that invented, I don't think I can use this here."

I'm one of those who can't just let things sit while I finish a section, then go back and fix it. It's like a rock in my mental shoe, getting more and more distracting until I sit down and deal with the damned thing.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Sometimes I wonder if I invest too much effort in fic.

Oh, I know this feeling all too well. I've caught a plot bunny re. WWII, but I'd have to do a fair amount of research to make it work. The basic idea I'm using is one that I could easily turn into a work of original fiction, but I really, really want to play in this particular fictional universe. Grr.

Let us reflect upon the fact that amych only got involved in fencing (thus meeting her DH) in order to research a piece of Lex/Wesley porn.

Up with the sun

I can totally see why fangirls would overuse "My Immortal" and "Closer." The only vids I have ever wanted to make are to Smithereens songs -- "Behind the Wall of Sleep" for Lilah and every man she was ever in a scene with, and "In a Lonely Place" for Cole/Phoebe. It's inexplicable to me, because I don't even like the Smithereens that much and I'm not generally shippy, but there you go.
