Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

'Never Leave Me'

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Go on! Go on, Suela! You know it'd be fun. And, hell, it wouldn't even have to be pron! In fact, hell, I'll write the pron, if there needs to be. But I prefer to know canon inside and out before I write something, so I don't feel that I could do justice to the interaction. And there could be Ed. Ed rocks.

Actually, most of the characters rock. Even the moose.

Ah, go on! Ya will! Ya will ya will ya will ya will!

The universe may also write me some Hermione fic. I really, really want to know what her summers are like

JZ, there's an excellent story that starts with the summer before 1st year and is complete through the summer before 5th year (she hasn't updated for HBP yet). Hermione's Summers by ChaosStorm at Sugarquill.

ETA: It also includes a holiday break or two.

Oh, and recently, I've been on a West Wing fanfic kick, and just found an absolutely hilarious story based on a Salon.com article and titled after the BtVS ep, Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered.

I should have guessed someone would post the link to that. Bless Anna S.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I think that's Yami no Matsui*, Betsy.

And yowza, that's one nice sketch. I'll have to admit though, that the particular pairing there made go "bwuh?" once the first wave of "oooh, pwetty!" passed.

*AKA "Decendants of Darkness," AKA "Dead Gay Detectives." Lots and lots and lots of canonical HoYay.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

OK, I only watched the first three episodes of Yami. The one with the glasses is the evil doctor who lusts after the hero, right? Who's the blindfolded one? 'Cause he doesn't look like Tsuzuki, who has longer hair, IIRC.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Muraki.

I'm not sure who else it could be besides Tsuzuki, although maybe shrift will weigh in.

Betsy, I suspect you'd like YnM. It's over-the-top melodrama, gorgeous in its excesses, and the subtext is tasty. Plus, there are occasional vampires, and there's one episode about music. It's called "Descendants of Darkness" in English, and Netflix has it.
