Yeah, that is a problem. He'll have to introduce some completely different overarching story to frame his characters. More with Peter Pettigrew, perhaps? I dunno. Or maybe Harry will actually get a fairly normal year in the Laocoonverse, that would be cool.

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?
This thread is for fanfic recs, links, and discussion, but not for actual posting of fanfic.
For Gris and others who might be looking for novel-length HP fanfic, Sam Vimes has finished Cartographer's Craft.
Oh, Anne. Why do you hate me so? Do you know how long this thing is? And when my yuletide story is due?
Actually, I've finally started really getting somewhere. That is to say, I've gotten over a thousand words, and it turns out I'm only in the first, sort of establishing, scene, and haven't done any of what's been requested of me yet. But that gives me a pleasant buffer, that I already have a bunch written. Thank goodness.
Countdown to yuletide. Is anyone else still finishing their story, or am I the only total lame-o taking advantage of the final six hours?
I have the file open, I'm googling for title possibilities, and I have shrift on the line to beta.
Oh shoot. Title! Thank goodness for AIM, huh?
Bartelby.com, where I often search for title ideas, and settle on the first one I don't actively hate.
I uploaded last night once Dana talked me down from the cliff. Tonight, I've been playing beta ping-pong and experimenting with chocolate martini recipes.
Actually, the title-choosing was fairly straightforward -- once I'd remembered I needed one!
Excellent. Glad to have gotten that done with.
I didn't realize how stressed out I was about it until I uploaded the damn thing. No More Overlapping Ficathons Ever.
You know, just looking at some of the comments posted in the yuletide LJ, I would *kill people* if I were running this challenge.
At least no one's hacked it yet this year, knock on wood.
