Right, what's a little sweater sniffing between sworn enemies?

Fan Fiction II: Great story! Where's the sequel?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mostly I just move around the suck, sweeping it into the metaphorical corners and under the rug.

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

Yuletide.

Right.

I have a first paragraph! Also a piece of dialogue from later in the story. So, hey, only 975 words to go...

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm so happy I didn't sign up for Yuletide.

I also think I damn near outed myself as a ficwriter tonight. But we were talking vids! And my friend knew who Sisabet and Lum were!

... disaster narrowly averted. Beer? Evil.

I'm waiting on beta response before I commit seppuku. If it turns out my story doesn't suck, then I just have to keep myself from signing up for a pinch hit.

I have some notes...

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

For Gris and others who might be looking for novel-length HP fanfic, Sam Vimes has finished Cartographer's Craft.

Good stuff.

Hey. New board.

Heh, I actually JUST copied it to wholesale to my Treo. Airplane reading!

Now if only he would finish Laocoon's Children Year 2 in the next couple of days. I think I like his AU Sorceror's Stone as much as the original, possibly more, and I can't wait to see what he does with the Chamber.

True. I have to wonder, though, how he's going to handle Year 3, given how wildly Remus's and Sirius's fates have diverged from canon.

Hey. New board.

Yeah, that is a problem. He'll have to introduce some completely different overarching story to frame his characters. More with Peter Pettigrew, perhaps? I dunno. Or maybe Harry will actually get a fairly normal year in the Laocoonverse, that would be cool.
