I think they're very compelling episodes, personally.
I was worried that they'd suffer upon rewatching, but really, they don't. The regular Highlander cheese and bad wigs aside, there's so much tasty emotional porn.

I was worried that they'd suffer upon rewatching, but really, they don't. The regular Highlander cheese and bad wigs aside, there's so much tasty emotional porn.
I determined that there was no possible way I could hope to follow 1/10 of what was going on, without quitting my job and giving up all other leisure activities.

I probably hate Scoggins more than most people -- but I must admit -- it's not the script that bothers me. I find she makes the character seem hysterical and unsympathetic.
Scoggins chews scenery and uses the resulting pulp for papier-mâché.
There aren't that many actors that can make me go "Oh, get over it. It's just a bit of rape and slavery. Stop your whining."

You know how, when you finally twig to slash, certain relationships suddenly make so much more sense? Well, Comes a Horseman/Revelation 6:8 did that for me, and I never looked back.
Oh, and remember that other episode where they started with a nice friendly sparring match and it turned all serious and ended up with Methos on his knees, panting, staring up at Duncan with a sword at his throat?
These memories are improving my day really fast.
