I believe vampires are the world's greatest golfers

I'm rubbing my hands with glee at the prospect of requesting stories I want! Yay for fandom presents.

Also, I popped in to ask a favour. I need one more beta reader to machete a short Firefly fic. If anyone is interested, can you email me at thenorthland at gmail dot com? Thanks.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

People discovering fic and slash is such a trainwreck.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Except for the part where it seems like TWoP invented HoYay I'm fine with it. Sure, they invented the term, but the concept pretty much goes back to the Iliad and even in modern TV land it at least goes back to Star Trek/1979 or so.

...where to start? Star Trek aired from 1966-69, thanks. And the concept of homosexuality goes back before the Iliad, I'm pretty sure.

Dude. Achilles and Patroclus were so totally doing it.

No, really.

So were Gilgamesh and Enkidu.

As were Adam and Steve.

Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

It tickles me to imagine that a Paul Rudnick play may one day hence be considered a sincere work that attempted to portray actual contemporary beliefs about history.

If I only had a brain...

So, what set off the Great Penguin Craze in SG-1, anyway?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Leah's Penguin PegB story. Dunno what the inspiration for it was, though.
