Sir? I'd like you to take the helm, please. I need this man to tear all my clothes off.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Teddy is the sexy seafood dude from the first episode.

Just in the part while the credits were rolling.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Well, the fact that I only saw the second episode explains why I don't know who Teddy is!

John Cho who plays Teddy. I imagine we'll see him again.

He's too funny for them not to use him. And Off Centre proved that he speaks HoYay and isn't afraid to use it.

And here I thought Atlantis was taking over for Smallville in the slash department.

The slashers will have a LOT of work to do to catch up to the sheer amount of Mckay/Sheppard out there. I expect it to overtake Angel/Lindsey in volume sometime in Season 4.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Atlantis took a while to build, though. Smallville exploded immediately.

True. Atlantis didn't become The Next Big Slash Fandom until Shalott discovered it, I think. And she brought ALL her friends. Heh.

Thrive to spite them

Smallville had such a huge build up, there were people writing fic almost before it premiered. THere was a lot of anticipation.

I think people were a little more wary of SGA.

Well, plus McKay and Sheppard had no history of interaction up to that point (and Sheppard no history at all), so people didn't know in advance there was a gold mine waiting to be tapped. I think the combo of Michael Rosenbaum and all of Welling's Matthew Shepardesque promos let the cat out of the bag before the Smallville debut.
