You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Good Omens fic I love:

die_traumerei's The Sprawl of Life, first story, "Demolishing Proofs We Never Believed In" is complete. Has fun with the notion of Making An Effort.

attheborder's it's a new craze: Aziraphale and Crowley host an advice podcast. If Sheen and Tennant could be coaxed into committing podfic, this would be high on my "Pleeeeeeeeeeeease" list.

irisbleufic's Crown of Thorns. It's enormous. It's comforting.

drawlight's Salinity (And Other Measurements of Brackish Water) The bookshop doesn't recover in this one. :-( But Aziraphale does.

gallantrejoinder's when all the stars in the sky align: they are good godfathers to all of the Them, not just Adam.

dollsome's i'd like for you and i to go romancing because OF COURSE they ran into Lord Byron.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I love just about everything drawlight writes for GO.

Chiaroscuro is making me sigh right now.

Oh! And lots by leaveanote, especially Equinox and the last bit of ex libris made me legit sob out loud.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

This GO fic is long, and if you have been or are going through therapy for trauma, there are parts that are rough going. But it is one of the best things I've ever read. Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach. [link]

Atropa, I sent that fic to Steph a couple of weeks ago! (Although without a judicious CW, like you provided, which I should have done.) I was consumed by the desire to have everyone I know read it right away, because it's so good. If I didn't find doing whitefont on my phone so tiresome, I'd talk about all of my favorite parts. (I'd get out my laptop, but getting out my laptop means I'm committing to writing my final papers for grad school, and I'm not quite ready yet.) But maybe I'll do that later, because it really is the best.

Oh my god, that fic is so good. So, SO good.

Definitely, but...not in a bad way? If that makes any damn kind of sense?

I'm so glad it wasn't in a bad way! After my fluoroscopy today I'm going to feel compelled to bring out the laptop and burble about the awesomeness of this fic here.

I . . . do not know this fic.

Here you go, Parker: [link] Rather long, very VERY good. t edit Sheesh, I didn't even notice that Atropa already provided the link, because I was in such a rush to Be A Helper. D'oh.

My therapist is excellent, but not in sync with me on pop culture (except for a tiny handful of things, like The Good Place and Shrill), so I can never quite explain my latest pop culture-related epiphany to her, which kills me. (I had to explain depressed!fat hero!Thor in Endgame to her so that I could talk about how much that resonated with me. And to her credit, she got it. But she really needs to watch some damn MCU movies.)

Because she and I could absolutely talk about this fic in a way that's very relevant to my life.
