Also, apparently Mass. has a fairly long list of requirements for Dance teacher licensure. Impressive.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
In other news, OMG Most Frustrating Conference Call Evar:
1) topic is a market segmentation interview script
2) 3 participants are on the phone, including the two who are explaining everything
3) one of these participants attempts to steamroll everyone else at every opportunity
4) Because she is on the phone, we actually have to interrupt her to let anyone else finish a sentence
5) we are her client, not the other way around
6) we go quite a bit over our time arguing idiotic semantics while a different scheduled call of mine has to wait
Aieee. This can only be remedied by silent making of faces, and a break for lunch while the sun is still shining.
LJ, I actually like a salad with no lettuce. Because as it turns out? I don't really like lettuce all that much, and really not enough to buy it for myself.
Particularly because, in my own little learning quirk, I can learn things speedily and very well from a person which confound me in a book.
Maybe a couple of tutoring sessions would help you?
I can't bear the idea of spending $5 to ship $6 worth of merchandise.
Can you pretend that they raised the price to $9 but cut the shipping to $2?
All that time that I was bitching about doing my cow-orker's work while she was on leave? I was forgetting that I do all her fucking work while she's here, as well. Bah.

Wow, midle school certainly has gotten more advanced since I was in it. Or last taught 8th graders, for that matter. Abstract algebra is, as I recall, hard. Differential Equations was a sophomore level course at my (science and engineering focussed) college.
Though after years of hearing people aske "When would you ever need to use Algebra?" and "What good are fractions, anyway?", maybe I'm just surprised that there are, in fact, math requirements.
Emily, can you hook up with someone else taking the exam and study together? SOmetimes you just need to explain it to someone else to remember what you know, if that makes sense.
Maybe a couple of tutoring sessions would help you?
Hmmm. Spossible. The question is, can I get my student loans to pay for it? Also, why won't my school post who's teaching classes? It hasn't been a problem before, but now it really is. I need to know, dammit!
In other very frustrating news, Netflix has added two Billy Connolly standup DVDs (I've been a sucker for him since "Small Blue Scottish Person," which must have been a special or something, since I can find no trace of it anywhere) but has no idea when they'll be available.
