The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Very cute casper pics.

I love weekend mornings, especially ones where I miss most of them because I went back to sleep.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Happy Birthday, Dana! Loved the photos, flea--she has such pretty hair. Much more than you usually see on a blond girl (I'm used to friends' kids looking more like cueballs, even at that age).

It's currently monsooning out here. I'm glad I didn't follow my initial urge to start my laundry some 30 minutes ago (laundry room is out the back door and down the alleyway a bit).

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I guess I wasn't the only one who saw The Core after all:

Japanese scientists are planning to explore the centre of the Earth. Using a giant drill ship launched next month, the researchers aim to be the first to punch a hole through the rocky crust that covers our planet and to reach the mantle below.

The team wants to retrieve samples from the mantle, six miles down, to learn more about what triggers undersea earthquakes, such as the one off Sumatra that caused the Boxing Day tsunami. They hope to study the deep rocks and mud for records of past climate change and to see if the deepest regions of Earth could harbour life.

Asahiko Taira, director general of the Centre for Deep Earth Exploration in Yokohama, near Tokyo, said: "One of the main purposes of doing this is finding deep bacteria within the ocean crust and upper mantle. We believe there has to be life there. It's the same mission as searching for life on Mars."

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

If they let the molemen out, I'm gonna be pretty upset.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

If they let the molemen out, I'm gonna be pretty upset.

I'd be more worried about the Morlocks and the C.H.U.D.s, myself.

He's also had the benefit of seeing my other two cats, who dwarf even the first cat.
