I'm sorry about the sick, but I don't think that the skipper-me knew about the boyfriend, so, yay boyfriend! Wanna post about something nice and tell me about him?

I'd put up with a lot of germs to get smoochies. And I hate being sick.

That's because I mostly post in Bitches. He is the best guy ever. A mutual friend set us up, and we have been dating for just about five months now. He gave me a teacup on our second date, because he noticed I collected them, so we call him Teacup Guy on the board.

Not complaining about the smoochies. A cold or two is definitely worth it.
Teacup Guy
That's such an adorable name.

A friend just called here to ask me to bring her something. I whined about not sleeping, and she whined about her baby (6 months old) waking her up a lot during the night. I said I'd much prefer to stay up for her reason, not mine. Which is not the same as what erika just said, I know, but it reminded me of that.

Hee. Poor Nilly.
If it helps, your reason is short term, and your sleep will happen sometime, while mommy sleep loss is a long-term change that leaves you a milky zombie for YEARS!

Rio! How are you with your brave (and go you!) move?
I'm doing OK! I mean it's 3:30 and I just got home from work, which is proof that I made the right decision, if you ask me.
Well, you talk to the girl who is working/studying pretty much 30 hours straight by now, so I wouldn't count on me for any rational judgment...
But it's not the usual schedule for me, far from it, and there are really good people here, I really like my PhD adviser, and it's nothing like the stress you describe. So, yeah, it definitely seems like you've made the right desicion. I imagine it still took a lot of courage - to leave the known and safe. I'm still with the "go, you!"
