What is even happening?

And not just that donuts are bad for you - six donuts at once are bad for you. Who knew?
There must be a mistake. That can't be true!

hip deep in pie

And not just that donuts are bad for you - six donuts at once are bad for you. Who knew?

Damn! Now what am I going to have for lunch?

I delurk, therefore I am.

Thanks, all.

I just wish they would TELL ME already. Because then I could start the dealing process. This waiting for the axe to drop is killing me. I'm so completely frazzled right now.

On the bright side, at least I'm not getting fired this time around.

I'm just damn glad that the press is there to warn us about these things.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Band-aids for some, tiny American flags for others?

Niiice.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And not just that donuts are bad for you - six donuts at once are bad for you. Who knew?

Pfft. *I* knew.

That's why *I* stop at 5 donuts.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have a sudden craving for donuts.

Sadly, the only donuts nearby are in the vending machine, and have been there for a while. I'm thinking they probably qualify for the quote marks of irony by now.

So, no donuts. Instead, I'll get my daily ration of bad-for-you-food by eating tuna. You know, mercury used to be considered good for the skin. Let's not diss the old ways.

Good luck, xnera.

Librarian Warlord

OC fans in NorCal, Peter Gallagher will be at UC Berkeley presenting the Sandy Cohen Fellowship on Friday, May 6th. I don't see it on the web site, but flyers are posted all over.

Perkins yelled at me when I didn't give a heads up the first time he showed up to do this.

Ann, that's a ferret.

We had a bus driver with a silence system. When the overhead lights went on, it was time to be silent.

She did not like noisy kids At All. Got really scary one day when she decided to turn the bus around and go back to the school. IIRC, several kids were kicked off the bus. Some parts of her route being 15 miles from the school.

My brother, who had the same bus driver at the time (but a different schedule, because we were in different buildings) later told us that the kids were told that the bus had broken down.
