Hmmm. Z is tall (6'5"), not in any danger of balding, fair-ish, intelligent, and heavy-set. My father is wee, balding, dark, intelligent, and slim. However, going back through my data set, I split my time between tall and short men. The intelligence remains the overriding factor.

I think if you throw something big enough at a person, it will bounce nicely. If the person is dumb enough, he might let you use a brick. Probably there is an upper limit to the "anything will bounce" rule, so don't try a wrecking ball, tempting as it might be.

I've heard that abundant testosterone causes both balding and a trend toward lots of body hair, and can definitely report seeing a correlation between those two factors.

I think smell can play a bigger role in selecting partners than we're consciously aware of. I know I've had a strong negative reaction to someone based on a personal scent that wasn't an indicator of bad hygeine. And thinking back, the ex was the most notably nice-smelling guy I can remember being around.

My dad is a 6' tall, black man who speaks English as a first language. The DH is a 5'7" (on a good day) white, latino, native spanish speaker. However, they are both smart cookies and snazzy dressers. And neither one is bald (Although I think I may be a bald old woman since I already have thinning edges. What is HLA? I've noticed that I can get info about someone's HLA status and if I were choosing a mate, why would it matter?
