The only way I could deal with getting a car loan was to have an already approved loan from my credit card company. The dealer gave me a better rate, as it turned out, but I never would have gone in had I not had $X at my diposal.

Um, as long as I don't have to go to the land of snow and cold.
Actually, the weather here is, at the moment, gorgeous. Because I am trapped in my office with windows that don't open, of course.
Tuesday is petty.
Tuesday just decided that what I really needed was a mild case of food poisoning.
Ow. That was just mean.
So I just emailed my advisor to check on my degree requirements and ask who teaches a particular course this summer. Could folks cross their fingers for it not being the idiot teacher I just got done with? Cause I have my schedule for Summer and Fall all worked out if it's not her. If it is... well, there'll need to be some reshuffling. Because there's no way I'm putting up with her two hours a day, four days a week in one of the more pedagogically important classes of the program. I'd really rather not take curriculum design from someone who I know from personal experience has no idea how to pace a class.
Hey, the WB is repeating the last two episodes of Gilmore Girls tonight. Just in case anyone missed the IMPORTANT last minute.
Also, my tuesday is okay. Not great.
I am 100s of messages behind in many different forum.
Alias - I finally watched the finale on Sunday. So, love the idea that Michael is really Danny, although the Mikhail Direvko theory is also very fun. Do you think that they will get around JG's pregnancy by having her in traction?
Betsy -- I am so sorry to hear that your house was burglerized. There is no fun in coming home and finding your front door drilled through and all sorts of things missing. (It happened to me in my first two months in Chicago.)
The part about Alias that drives me nuts is that the whole thing about Vaughn's father. Because if that suddenly doesn't work, a huge part of the character is taken away. Plus, he had that conversation with Irina about it in the finale. Although I guess he could have just been keeping up his cover.
Nuts, I tell you.
Yeah, that part of it bothers me too and it's not like it happened waaaay back in season1 -- it just happened!!
Makes you wonder just who he was really looking for . . .

I just about feel your pain, Emily. "Just about" because the professor I'm afraid to be assigned to is for a class that's only two hours a week. But still. I am dying with the curiosity to know if she's going to be assigned to the section I'm registered for, or not.
Maybe (Alias) there really is a Michael Vaughn, he is just not that guy. The real Michael Vaughn is a brilliant Flabotinumologist, locked in a catatonic state by a terrible drug given him by a Derevko sister. This our hero, named Yohn Yohnson, at first was assigned to find the Derevkos and cure Vaughn, but as time went on and the "Bristow situation" developed, Yohn's mission was expanded and he assumed Vaughn's identity in an effort to bring down all three Derevko sisters. It was only terrible coincidence that Yohn, as Vaughn, fell in love with a Derevko daughter and pledged his life -- and his SECRET!! -- to her.
...Actually, J.J., please take notes. And, ignore my penchant for melodramatic adjectives.
In super-important science news, the new Journal of Human Genetics has a pretty convincing report from a group claiming to have found the gene for male pattern baldness. It's on the X chromosome, which is consistent with longstanding anecdotal evidence that baldness in men is more correlated with baldness in their maternal grandfathers rather than with baldness in their own fathers.
Currently feeling grateful for my maternal grandfather, who died at 96 with a full head of hair.
For some reason, I'll be really annoyed if Vaugh is undeadDanny. I don't know why. I don't like it.
