And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

shrift! You've also been in my thoughts a lot lately. How is your father doing?

Hi, Nilly! My father's doing fine. He recently bought a new camper, so I am hoping this will encourage him to work less and vacation more. (Although I'm hardly one to talk, but also not the one with a heart condition.)

Tuesday isn't being especially terrible, I suppose. It's just that I'm grumpy and sleep-deprived, and less tolerant of being needle-in-a-haystack-go-to-girl than usual, and -- wait a minute.

Clearly Tuesday is really Monday wearing a cunning disguise.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

That's just plain weird. Why was what you said a firing offense?

Well, on a "legal acrimony between the two firms" level she may not be ABLE to have two weeks notice and a smooth transition because the former partners may end up suing each other.

On an an individual level, she probably feels "betrayed" by my lack of "loyalty" to her and her vision for what her grand new firm can be. (Why she thinks I should be "flexible" about something that will benefit me IN NO WAY is something only crazy, self-absorbed, spoiled, rich people can understand.)

It's possible she "had" to fire me, but she didn't need to be a cunt about it.

Holy crap, Trudy! Can you at least enjoy the righteousness of your anger? Cause that was just entirely, ridiculously, inexcusable WRONG of the firing person. Holy... oh, I already said that, didn't I? Holy Hannah!

If I only had a brain...

My Tuesday sucks royally; I'm cleaning up before leaving my job, and I'm sad about losing my class ring.

Swouncing

It's possible she "had" to fire me

Even so, there had to be a more pleasant way to do this.

Betsy, I was sorry to read about the robbery you had (though I was relieved that neither you nor any of your family members were in any kind of danger).

If I only had a brain...

Thanks, Nilly, and thanks to all the Buffistas for the sympathy.

It is good that nobody was hurt.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My Tuesday started out to suck (I wrapped a towel around my head after the shower only to quickly realize a cat had peed on it) but is now better.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

My Tuesday started out to suck (I wrapped a towel around my head after the shower only to quickly realize a cat had peed on it) but is now better.

Yikes.

I smelled urine on the train today, but I think I managed to avoid direct contact, as I currently (to the best of my knowledge) don't smell like urine myself.

::checks off "don't smell like urine" on to-do list::

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dag, people, this is quite an assortment of sucky days. I hope it's just getting out of the way so June can be AWESOME.

Why was what you said a firing offense?

The eternal question.
