Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Is anyone's Tuesday not sucking royally?

Not sucking royally. But nothing to write home about, either.

Well, so much for being HONEST! Geez.

Nice, huh?

Apparently everyone freaked when I left. Heh.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It is cold and gloomy here on Tuesday, whereas Monday was sunny and warm. So far I'm only complaining faintly at having to be back at work....

Is anyone's Tuesday not sucking royally?

I'd speak up, but I'm afraid of drawing Tuesday's attention.

ita -- wow. That's not the sort of invigorating work environment I'd want.

Connie, I'm glad your DH is doing better.

Swouncing

Where is msbelle? She's always so good at finding topics for cheering-up posts, like "anywhere but here", or "the best gift", or "inside the reality of which book or movie would you choose to be right now", only, you know, better.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

It was just because of what I said.

That's just plain weird. Why was what you said a firing offense?

My suckiness was over the weekend. So far Tuesday is going okay.

See, you had ALL the suck and now it has dispersed to several people. I think this approach is better. Share the suck.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

shrift! You've also been in my thoughts a lot lately. How is your father doing?

Hi, Nilly! My father's doing fine. He recently bought a new camper, so I am hoping this will encourage him to work less and vacation more. (Although I'm hardly one to talk, but also not the one with a heart condition.)

Tuesday isn't being especially terrible, I suppose. It's just that I'm grumpy and sleep-deprived, and less tolerant of being needle-in-a-haystack-go-to-girl than usual, and -- wait a minute.

Clearly Tuesday is really Monday wearing a cunning disguise.

Well, on a "legal acrimony between the two firms" level she may not be ABLE to have two weeks notice and a smooth transition because the former partners may end up suing each other.

On an an individual level, she probably feels "betrayed" by my lack of "loyalty" to her and her vision for what her grand new firm can be. (Why she thinks I should be "flexible" about something that will benefit me IN NO WAY is something only crazy, self-absorbed, spoiled, rich people can understand.)

It's possible she "had" to fire me, but she didn't need to be a cunt about it.
