A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That Parents Magazine cover linked upthread is a fake. [link]

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm trying very hard to not freak. Or look at my bank account. It should all be "fine" in a day and even if it isn't I've been in financially tight situations before.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It's W. Mark Felt, who was Assistant Director of the FBI at the time.

Trudy, I hope all will go as smoothly as possible, and that the decision will be the right one for you. By the way, and completely regardless of your "Beep Me" post - in the F2F pictures it seems like you lost quite some weight, so go you!

t whineWhineWHINE I have to hand in a grant report tomorrow. I've been asking for information from the researcher and students involved for the past 3 weeks. I am still getting new details I have to work in to the report, pretty much as I type. I've slept 12 hours total in the last 3 nights, and I have no idea how many I'm going to get tonight (which is soon, in this timezone). Oh, and I still didn't manage to talk to the professor of the class I TA tomorrow, so I still don't know what's the material I'm supposed to prepare for the class. I'm so deep into self-pity, I can't even think of anything semi-witty to end this post

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Hi, Nilly!

If I only had a brain...

And suddenly LOST makes so much more sense. (Spoilers for part of Season 1; nothing past the finale)

Lilty! I've been thinking about you a lot this week, what with the hard time your family had. I hope things are better for you now, or will improve soon enough.

(((Nilly))) Just 'cuz. We're doing ok. The biggest initial shock was the speed in which he went. He's not in pain anymore, though, and that's a very big something. Thank you.

Running to the store to pick up the pictures my almost 3 year old niece took at our dinner before we got the news. Within a five minute lesson, she'd learned to hold down the flash and wait for the light, scroll the picture, not put her finger in front of the shutter, and to line people up in the little window. While I may be biased, I maintain she is the smartest baby in the world.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Nilly}} Wishes for quick completion of your report and a well deserved sleep to you.

Also, I just bought a boxed set of the first three seasons of Alias from Ebay.

Good plan.
