The thing is, after a healthy dose of yummy salty chinese, if you need a cheese attack, you can make a quesadilla. You can't so much make slippery slimy lomein and sesame chicken. Well, without making a mess.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Can someone please explain to me WTF is up with the Bolton nomination? A cloture vote was called for and voted down just a little bit ago -- i.e., he got filibustered, debate continues, and he's not getting his up-and-down vote yet. But Voinovich, who apparently had given a passionate speech about Bolton's awfulness, voted for cloture and Bill Frist voted against. Wha-huh?

(eta: I think the vote against cloture was mostly Dems, and Frist. Guh??)

JZ, I'm at a loss to explain it myself. His latest press release decries the use of the partisan filibuster to deny an up or down vote on Bolton's nomination, but yet he voted against invoking cloture. The cynical part of me thinks that he had no clue what he was voting on and voted no because that's his most favorite word.

To be sure, I hit the Senate website and it still has Frist listed as a Nay. Quite hypocritical of him to be blasting the Dems into the stratosphere when he voted the same way.

And this surprises you?

The Senate is actually getting....interesting. Not sure what the fallout will be, but I have hopes for a cracking of the lines.

And this surprises you?

Not at all. What does suprise me is the fact that none of the major news outlets are reporting it.

And on further Googling, from Fox News:

Sen. Bill Frist, R-Tenn., voted against the measure only because that gave him the procedural right to force the Senate to vote again on the issue.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Oh, ita...

Hee. Send me ten. Pretty ones.

There's actually thirteen. Though the last one doesn't count because it's not as much pretty as it is something I think everyone should see.
