What is even happening?

You're not friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love till it kills you both. You'll fight, you'll shag, you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends. Real love isn't brains, children, it's blood, it's blood screaming inside you to work its will. I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What are your plans for the long weekend (if you have to work on Monday - spew about your job/boss/company)?

It's crazy Little League overload weekend, with games Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon. It's the end of the regular season, and then we have a round-robin tournament the following weekend to determine a Double-A champ.

Where was your best vacation ever and why was it so freakin awesome?

All of my New Orleans vacations have been fantastic, but the second one was probably the most fun. The first one was barely a weekend and we were poor. For the second one we got to explore the whole place and had a week and money to spend. Great food, sex and music - utter play and animal indulgence.

I missed the dinner for the seniors this year, should I 1)bake them all cookies and frost '05 on them? 2)bake a nice cake for them? 3)bake cupcakes and frost '05 on them? 4)buy them all '05 keychains?

Cupcakes!

say something happymaking or nice that has happened this week.

Our car is dying, and JZ's dad is giving us one of his extras thus averting a financial and transportational crisis. Also, EM had a job interview that looks like an excellent prospect. Uh, I was interviewed on TV for the Independent Film Channel. And best of all for me, I got to see a tape of the Bubblegum documentary the Alamo Drafthouse Theater did based on my book and it's totally rocking. Now we're planning on doing some guerilla showings in various cities.

eta: I forgot - Emmett's being lobbied heavily to join the traveling tournament baseball team. (More or less the All Stars). As the coach said, "We want the boy on the team."

I'm not even worried about the ex (ok maybe a little), I am looking scant-wise for the movie selection.

No idea what this weekend will bring. I may have a friend stopping through on her way back home, but I'm not sure. I hopefully will know by friday.

Cookies.

I heard from my childhood best friend & got caught up on what all the younger siblings are up to and it just makes me laugh. The youngest, who was at the awkward stage when I left home, went on to play basketball, then had a goth phase, then a baby right out of high school and now is married to a rancher. Best image is of her running around in miniskirts and slides, innoculating cattle.

I can't even picture her as any older than 13. So much living happened!

I went to a bellydancing class last night, where it was confirmed that I have a lot of belly and very little dance.

What are your plans for the long weekend (if you have to work on Monday - spew about your job/boss/company)?

This past weekend was my long weekend. I did some weeding, watched Star Wars, played games with friends, and slept a lot. Then I got a stomach bug or something.

Where was your best vacation ever and why was it so freakin awesome?

All vacations are great. I loved the trip to Mexico for my friend`s wedding because I was so freaking relaxed. I jsut had a fab time in NY, and I`m trying to figure out when I can go back there again!

I missed the dinner for the seniors this year, should I 1)bake them all cookies and frost '05 on them? 2)bake a nice cake for them? 3)bake cupcakes and frost '05 on them? 4)buy them all '05 keychains?

I vote cupcakes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

What are your plans for the long weekend (if you have to work on Monday - spew about your job/boss/company)?

Unpacking, and then unpacking some more. Maybe going to a bbq on Sunday, if I can tear myself asway from the unpacking.

Where was your best vacation ever and why was it so freakin awesome?

Brain freeze. Too much pressure. Total failure to remember any vacation I have ever taken.

I missed the dinner for the seniors this year, should I 1)bake them all cookies and frost '05 on them? 2)bake a nice cake for them? 3)bake cupcakes and frost '05 on them? 4)buy them all '05 keychains?

Last night I brought my dog to the new house and let him run around his hew yard for the first time. He went absolutely crazy, racing around in circles, doing his chase me dance, and ran into the sliding glass door (with no damage to himself or the door). Happy making!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I have a lot of belly and very little dance.

You're going to have try harder if you expect to be abducted into white slavery.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I need to see this damn movie, just for completeness' sake. I figure I can make him pay, so at least I'm not out the $10.
