Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

What is it about me that causes people who most sincerely are not cruising to pull up next to me and ask for directions as I'm walking down the street? Happens to me all the time. I must work in the city of lost suburban motorists.

If I only had a brain...

A friend of mine calls it "having librarian-face", but I'm not sure that applies to shrift.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You look like you know things.

I try to avoid that at all costs.

I want to go home! I can't believe the course keener told him we were to go until 5! This is a longer day than normal. It should be shorter. And there will be two more.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

are you learning anything? cause I went to training today on a system that I figured out 10 minutes into it. The trainer did not have full access to the system, so could not show us some of the stuff that we needed, and we discovered when we got there that there are two different systems -- we have passwords/knowledge of Xsystem, we were being trained on XWeb system, so our password were useless, and we couldn't do any hands on stuff. Waste. of time. (and I was so annoyed when I left that I forgot that I'd parked my car on the street, so I haven't put money in the meter since 10AM)

You look like you know things.

People need to learn that just because I know where I'm going doesn't mean I know where they're going. And the only reason why I know where I'm going is because the Internets give driving directions.

They should ask the Internets.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm learning some. It'd be more, but I'm sorely distracted, even without the Internets. The 'Nets just mean I'm not bored and distracted. It's not the material or the presenter. It's my brane's fault.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

And now, with heavy heart, for I fear I know what sadness lies ahead, I tune in to 24.
