And now, with heavy heart, for I fear I know what sadness lies ahead, I tune in to 24.

brillig

Hubby has heart surgery tomorrow. It's not the sort you see on TV, with machines circulating the blood for him and his ribs . . . well, it's not like that.

A very strange but reportedly brilliant Chinese doctor will send a catheter with a laser up into his heart, looking for the portion that's throwing off the heart rhythm so he can burn it out and let the fully-functioning back up rhythm sections take control. Afterwards, we can begin getting my husband off some of those fucking drugs.

I am nauseous with stress. So's he. A little bit of ~ma Utah-wards, please.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Oh, connie, sounds scary. Much heart-ma to your Hubs, and peace-ma to both of you. Plus, some extra-special-skill-ma to the docs.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Connie, I don't need my portion of loved-ones-who-are-heart-patients~ma, so you may have every last bit of mine. (And I have a pretty hefty portion, believe me.)

You bet, connie. May everything from surgery to recovery to getting off of some meds go smoothly. Strength and health to your DH and you.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck, Connie.

cause I went to training today on a system that I figured out 10 minutes into it.

I cannot tell you how happy I was that the last mandated training I went to turned out to be self-directed. It was scheduled for three hours, I was done in 45 minutes. Awesome.

But NOT AS AWESOME as pens with built-in post-its!! Of course, I still can't believe no one in my office has the "SIGN HERE" flags. But alas, they do not. I cut up big post-its.

I just networked like a MOTHERFUCKER. I am actually working at this, and succeeding, I think. My department head keeps winking at me. I think it's because we don't actually have anything to say to each other, but she thinks I'm A Good Sort.
