Wow, you've really mastered the power of positive giving-up.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Damn, Lyra Jane. Much job~ma to you. If there's anything I can do, let me know.

I mean, I like sleep, but not at work, while other people are around, and potentially typing about me on the 'net.

Way back when I was getting used to this working at a desk thing, I used to get insanely sleepy. But way to paranoid to nap in my office. I used to walk over to a parklike area and doze on a bench. Which was still paranoid making, but I was just too sleepy to care.

LJ, hope stuff works out for the best quickly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Are there potatoes in these fries? They're weirdly airy.

Well, I haven't seen it personally in a while, but used to be you could see them turning potatoes into fries through the drive through window. Maybe they are using some sort of special, trademarked, airy potatoes.

Good luck, LJ. I am horrendous at networking, so no advice, but good thoughts.

People apparently sleep during their lunch breaks here, but not where I can see them. Sleeping people make good targets for small projectiles.

What is even happening?

Lyra Jane, I'm so sorry about the job. All the best to you.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Much jobma, LJ.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sleeping people make good targets for small projectiles.

Exactly. Plus there's the whole "What bodily noises will I make?" thing. Too paranoid.

I drive to somewhere completely different and curl up across my front seat.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I have a few co-workers who go out to their cars at lunch and take a quick nap. The women's restrooms here all have a couch in them, but it's usually frowned upon to take a nap on them unless you're (a) sick or (b) pregnant.

I once worked in a place that had a back room with a couch and a recliner and dimmable lights just for people to nap in. I never used it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

When I had mono I would nap all through my lunch hour on a couch in the office breakroom. But then, when I had mono I would have napped on the office hallway carpet if I could have.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have been known to nap in the car, but only when very, very sick. I really have never liked to nap, even as a child. I REMEMBER not wanting to nap or go to bed early (like 8 pm). I used to sit at the top of the stairs so I could hear Dallas on the TV.
