Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Damn, LJ. Good luck to you.

I would wait until 2 or later if you can. I've never had a wait when I've gone for dinner.

Thanks for the headsup. "Head's up"?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Ouch. Much job~ma, Lyra Jane.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ouch, LJ. Irony stings. I hope you land right on your feet.

Just had an In'N'Out burger. Their fries are weird. But I'm still going to eat them.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I love In'N'Out fries. Though we used to go to In'N'Out for burgers and E-Z-Out for fries, back in the day. But that hand operated machine that turns potatoes into uncooked french fries is truly a thing of beauty.

Art Crawl!!!

Now, I wish I'd have fries at lunch.

Much job-ma to Lyra Jane.

Are there potatoes in these fries? They're weirdly airy.

Up with the sun

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone.

Irony stings. I hope you land right on your feet.

It does, and I hope that too.

The only good thing is that I've been through this fairly recently.

I'm going to need to try to network. I hate networking.

So I'm in training this week. Everyone went out for lunch, but I brought mine back to eat at my station. Another co-worker came back, and now he's trying to sleep. Which is just weird. I mean, I like sleep, but not at work, while other people are around, and potentially typing about me on the 'net. And he's right in my line of vision, too.
